The Kingdom of Atenveldt
The Kingdom of the Atenveldt became a principality of the Kingdom of the West on April 12th, A.S. IV (1970), during the reign of King Stefan and Queen Luise.
The Kingdoms name comes from the combination of an Egyptian sun god's name, "Aton," and the German word for land, "veldt." The Kingdom of Atenveltd has several distinctions, among them being the first Barony in the SCA and being the first Principality in the SCA.
Atenveldt's first coronet tournament was held on February 22, A.S. IV (1970) at McCormick Ranch Park in Scottsdale, AZ. Robert the Roundpounder won the Coronet, with Katrine of Windermere as his consort. The investiture was held on April 12th, A.S. IV (1970) at McCormick Ranch Park in Scottsdale, AZ.
The first crown tournament in the Principality of Atenveldt was held on January 16th, A.S. V (1971) at McCormick Ranch Park in Scottsdale, AZ. Sir Richard Ironsteed won the crown tournament, with Felicia MacChlurain as his consort. The coronation was held on the same day, making Atenveldt the fourth kingdom.
The Kingdom of Atenveldt encompasses the state of Arizona and all of Iraq with the exception of the city of Baghdad.

King's Device - "Azure, a sun in his splendour Or within a laurel wreath argent and in chief a crown of three greater and
